9/11, My Hero My hero is Martin Mott, my grandpa, who was born on December 30th, 1936 in Tiffin Ohio, but then settled in Willard, Ohio. He died at the age of 78 on June 11, 2015 in Sandusky at the Hospice Care Center. He died of cancer, which was all through-out his body. My grandpa and me had a really close relationship with each other. My grandpa was married to Hazel Mott, my grandma, who was born on March 14, 1935 in Fitchville. She died at the age of 72 unexpectedly on November 16th, 2007. He was a dad to my mom Tracie Mott, and my Uncle David Mott. He had eight grandchildren, Sadie Suddith, Walker Mott, Austin Mott, Rj Suddith, Joshua Suddith, Alizabith Walton, Audriella Walton, and me. My grandpa was a veteran of the U.S Air Force, where he worked in the kitchen, then was transferred to another job in the Air Force. He retired from Janesville Products in Norwalk, OH. After retirement he worked at Ace Hardware store in Willard, OH. My grandpa is the best person I ever meant. He's caring, helpful, joyful, and humorous. The reason my grandpa is caring is because if anything happened to you, like losing a loved one, he would send them a card or go to there house to see how they were doing. He would also do many other things that make him a caring person. The reason my grandpa is helpful is because if we needed help with money or something else like moving, he would drop everything and come help us, He didn't only do this for us, he always did this for other family's and friends. My grandpa is joyful because he always has this happiness about almost everything that happen, even when he was in the hospital he would smile all the time. My grandpa is humorous because he's always cracking jokes about almost everything he sayed or someone else sayed, even when he was in the hospital he would crack jokes about the nurses and other things when we went to visit him. My Grandpa when he was younger. My grandpa, Martin Mott, is my hero because he was always giving us positive lectures about how to live and be apart of everyday life. My grandpa didn't really know that I thought of him as giving us positive talks, because the way he told them to us was kinda different than just a straight lecture. This applies to my life because now that my grandpa is gone, I can think back to all the things he taught me and told me and I can tie all those things into my life and listen to the lectures he gave us all. This summer was a blast. Sadie and me hung out with friends, went to the beach and went swimming a lot at our neighbors house. We also had a lot of cook-outs with family and friends. The people we mostly hung out with this summer were Kristian Murray, Christian Murray, Olivia Murray, Derick Murray, Abbi Hunt, Sara Hunt, and Madison Campo. What we did when we hung out with them was we usually spent the night at each other's houses and went swimming (I have have a few pictures on my trailer of them). When we went swimming we usually went night swimming, then they they would stay the night. It was so much fun.
This summer we also had a few cook-outs with family and friends. We had one on the 4th of July with our brother and his boyfriend along with other family members. We set off a lot of fireworks and we got to meet our newest nephew, Kryston. We also had a cook-out the week before school and this was for our family and friends. What we did was have a water balloon fight, shaving cream fight, and a spaghetti fight. Then we stayed up all night. This summer we also went to the beach and swimming at our neighbors a lot. When we went to the beach it was Sadie, Our dad, our mom, and me. We packed a picnic and swam all day. After all that we went to the peir and walked the rocks. Also this summer Sadie and me took projects to the fair, I took a drug and a alcohol abuse poster, and Sadie redid a bench. We both got A's on them, I placed third and Sadie got a honorable ribbon. |
