Being famous is what gives you anxiety, stress, depression and it changes you completely. According to vh1.com/hate-fame/, “Robert Pattinson, a famous celebrity, doesn’t want to be famous anymore. In 2012, he spoke to French magazine, Premiere, about having depression for two years after he rose to fame for his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga. “I went through a big time of depression between 23 and 25, I couldn’t go where I wanted to go. I was in the tabloids every day and I didn’t have access to the roles I really wanted. I wanted more, on every level.” said Robert Pattinson.
According to Can Fame Make You Happy, "Lawrence said that simply stepping outside her front door gives her anxiety”. This is why being famous is not a good thing in life because living with anxiety is rough and on top of that celebrities are always getting publicity from fans and tabloids, which is giving them more anxiety and stress. Celebrities also get a lot of attention and getting a lot of attention could lead to depression or anxiety because celebrities think that they have to be perfect all the time and some fans expect that from there role models, but in real life no one's perfect. So why should we expect perfect out of our Celebrities? Being famous has some advantages such as “ front-row seats at prestigious award shows, free clothes from top designers, shows, and trips around the world.”, but life isn't all about what designer clothes you have on, or getting front row seats at a fancy show. It’s about being yourself and not caring what other people think of you. According to “Can Fame and Fortune make you happy” Beyonce has said that though she likes attention when she’s onstage, she’d be happier if she could “cut it off” when she isn’t performing and just enjoy her life.” This is an example of why being famous isn’t that great because it takes your life away and it’s pretty hard to become a normal person again. Although being famous has a lot of perks, I wouldn’t chose to be famous in my lifetime because I don’t think that I would be able to handle all the attention from random people and I don’t think that I would want my life to change by becoming famous. According to “Can Fame and Fortune make you Happy”, “To outsiders, constant attention might seem glamorous. In reality, though, it brings an enormous amount of stress”. This is true because as I stated previously in my essay Jennifer Lawrence says that she gets anxiety just stepping outside her front door. Many celebrities get anxiety and have a lot of stress because they try to stay on top of trends and they try to impress their fans by doing stuff that they might not don’t like to do. Being famous “It’s the kind of happiness you get when you buy a new purse,” Stated “Can Fame and Fortune Make You Happy”. Being famous takes your personality and life from you because you're trying to be something you're not just to impress some random fans that you don’t even know, so in reality being famous would not be a priority in my lifetime.
