November 30th, 2016 3rd Medical Assistant Even though I’m only 14 years old and in 8th grade, I have an idea of what I want to be when I grow up. I enjoy helping and caring for other people. I really like the idea of working in a hospital with other doctors, instead of working in a factory or anything related to a factory. Recently this year I’m getting A’s, B’s and C’s which is accurate for my 3.26 GPA for eighth grade. I plan on putting more work into my studying before high school and during High School because I plan to attend EHOVE. When I grow up, I want to be a Medical Assistant. According to Ohio Means Jobs, “Medical Assistants need to know Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, and Locating Information.” In order for me to become a Medical Assistance, I will need to work harder in school with Math and English. I also will have to become more known to what teachers are teaching us in class. According to College Grad University, “Medical assistants typically graduate from postsecondary education programs. Although there are no formal educational requirements for becoming a medical assistant in most states, employers may prefer to hire assistants who have completed these programs.” If I want to get a job as a Medical Assistance I would have a better chance of getting a job by getting my Associate's degree because most hospitals want more experienced employees. On the other hand, I could also get a Medical Assistance job by having a diploma or certificate in the medical assistance field. In order for me to become a Medical Assistant I will also need to know the basic information about what I'm supposed to do. According to allhealthcare.monster website, “Medical assistants jobs are in demand. If you are looking for a career that requires multi-tasking, offers great chances for advancement, and lets you work with patients.” Medical Assistance jobs are in demand and they can give me the opportunity to become more than just an assistance.” I could become a nurse if I work in the Medical Assistance field long enough. Medical assistants have many responsibilities when it comes to patients medical history, they have to make sure that all information is in the right order and that nothing gets lost or misplaced, plus they have to deliver all the information on the patients to the doctor without any misunderstandings in the information on the patient. Although growing up will not be easy, Career day has made it more clear to be. Career day and my information that I have learned has made me want to become a Medical Assistant more than I already wanted to because now I know more information on Medical Assistants and all the opportunities that they have for Assistants.
